Compassion at Christmas

Compassion at Christmas

As we look forward to Christmas we are excited to use the time to bless people that we have connection with through the church in this country and oversees. We have five different ways we are doing this. Please read below how you can donate specific items.

You can also give financially online to support all the Compassion at Christmas projects by clicking here.

Christmas Hampers for Leeway

We are making over 50 Christmas Hampers for families staying in Leeway’s Women’s Refuges over Christmas and for local families in need. Could you donate any of the following items: Christmas Crackers, Christmas Puddings, Mince Pies, Boxes of Chocolates, Soup and Nice Toiletries. If you would like to contribute, please put them in the box on a Sunday morning before and including Sunday 3rd December.

We will be putting the hampers together and wrapping them up on Monday 4th December from 10am –2pm.  Please contact the church office if you can help:

Foodbank Christmas Morning

Father Christmas will be visiting our Foodbank Distribution Centre on 22nd December to give out presents to people who come in with a Foodbank Voucher! If you would like to help the elves by donating a wrapped up selection box or some nice toiletries for the adults please bring them to church for Sunday 10th December.

For Christmas, Growkids are collecting new packs of knickers/pants/boxers, vests, socks, tights and pyjamas for 0-12 year olds. Please bring them on a Sunday morning and put in the Growkids box on a Sunday before Christmas.

Operation Christmas Child

A great way to help give gifts to children all over the world who are in need at the moment. For more details please see the Operation Christmas Child website. Please bring your filled shoe boxes with a £5 donation for postage into church on Sunday 12th November.

Vineyard Mwanza

Joy McCann is working in Mwanza with Tanzania Bridge of Hope and is part of Vineyard Mwanza. Some of the children who live on the street have become part of the church. Joy will be back in Norwich over Christmas and we would love to be able to bless the children by donating clothes. Please bring them in to church on a Sunday before Christmas.
